Feminism a misinterpreted definition...

I was waiting at the Adyar signal to cross the road,  and I noticed a ragged woman with hardly any garment on her to hide her modesty, standing and knocking at the window of a plush car. Driving the car was a ravishing , seemingly well educated , well bred and "independent " woman. The signal timer still showed 45secs more for the light to turn green. What apalled was that neither did the woman stop begging nor did the other lady have the patience and heart to give her a penny. Another old lady who was walking by stopped and fed this ragged woman with water and gave her a 10. The ragged woman walked away happy and relieved.

Although I have never advocated feminism strongly , I have always felt that definitely our mothers and grandmothers were victims of inequality and gender bias and they did give up what they could have nurtured. But how does it make sense to cascade it to the next generation. Education should make women stronger and more diverse. It should make them seek equal opportunities and more power to build bridges of affection and sensitivity.

So does feminism lead to questioning of tradition? Do things, just so you want to prove you are a man enough? In fact education and empowerment should have been more meaningful had the lady been sensitive to the other lady. The woman on the street needs empowerment and opportunity and not the bimbo who seeks more, just to waste it. Feminism is not audaciously questioning every attribute and attitude, but feminism is to prove that you are the Shakti that is centric in the universe which creates life and can render a meaning to Life.
If asked ain't I feminist, I would say I am very much a feminist who is well educated , can budget and run her house, be the woman of the house and walk with the man of the house, teach and cook, earn a handsome pay , practice religion and follow tradition and at the same time choose rationality and logic when needed. I am again a woman who is woman enough...and not man enough....

Ones seeking to be what men are are nothing but a confused band of babes who play the lady card when seeking reservation and play the equality card when asked to do what she can and what she should.

In short I am not a pseudo feminist.
